Madison is a recent graduate from Santa Clara University where she received a double major in Anthropology and Public Health Sciences. Prior to returning to the LCOE, Madison worked at Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative (NHHI) on the CA Statewide Study of Homelessness conducting quantitative and qualitative interviews across CA with people experiencing homelessness. This project was a direct ask from Governor Newsom and the largest study of homelessness ever to be done. While a student intern at LCOE, she managed a COVID-19 Street Team and conducted research on COVID health disparities in the Bay Area Latinx population. Her interest in public health lies within the intersection of housing and substance use with a goal of radically overhauling drug policy with community driven solutions. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and watching sunsets with her two dogs.
