Congratulations to Dr. Alicia Fernández, the recipient of the 2024 UCSF Chancellor Award for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This award honors faculty members who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion, going above and beyond the scope of their roles, research, and training.

Dr. Alicia is the founder of the UCSF Latinx Center of Excellence and is dedicated to achieving health equity and social justice by increasing the Latinx physician workforce through mentoring and training.
