Leigh Kimberg, MD is a Professor of Medicine and the Program Director of the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US) at UCSF. She practices primary care internal medicine at SFGH. Her areas of expertise include interpersonal violence prevention, trauma-informed and healing-centered healthcare systems change, and health equity focused medical education. She coordinates interpersonal violence prevention programs for the SFDPH, serves on the San Francisco Family Violence Council, and directs the ARISE program, which builds and evaluates multi-sector university-healthcare-community partnerships to prevent and mitigate trauma, support resilience, and promote health equity and social justice.
