Mario Gonzalez Ramirez

Research Analyst

Mario Gonzalez Ramirez grew up in Richmond, CA, as the son of Mexican immigrants, and recently graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Computational Biology as a first-generation college student. Guided by his family's struggles navigating healthcare and the environmental inequity that Richmond residents face, Mario began exploring the topic of health inequity through his undergraduate coursework, eventually serving as a Spanish interpreter and preclinical assistant for Stanford's student-run health clinic.

Stephanie Gordon-Rivera

Policy Analyst

Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Loyola University. For her master’s capstone project, she conducted a comprehensive policy surveillance study, analyzing laws related to Community Health Worker (CHW) programs across the United States.

Lupita Ambriz

Policy Analyst

Lupita grew up in Salinas Valley, in King City, California. Her lived experiences in a Latino/x rich and predominantly agricultural area are what guided her to pursue a career in public health. As a first-generation college student, she holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from UC Davis. She has a special interest in working with Spanish-speaking community members to elevate their voices and work towards creating more culturally congruent health interventions.

Yoselin Castillo, BA

Research Analyst

Yoselin is a first-generation Latina from a rural farm-working community in California's Central Valley. Growing up, she experienced and witnessed the health disparities affecting underrepresented, low-income communities, which sparked her passion for addressing these barriers and improving community health in underserved areas.
