Triveni DeFries, MD MPH, is a general internist and addiction medicine specialist. She is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at San Francisco General Hospital, and is and Associate Medical Director of its primary care clinic. She brings experience in asylum medicine and immigrant rights, specifically training on performing forensic evaluations for people seeking asylum in the U.S., and is the co Medical Director of the UCSF Human Rights Clinic.
