Beth Harleman, MD is Professor of Medicine and Vice Chief of Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. A clinician-educator, Beth has extensive experience developing and delivering curricula to a wide range of learners. Her focus in medical education is on the development of the physician identity, particularly at transition points in training. She is a co-lead for the FUEGO faculty program. 

Arianne Teherani, PhD, MSEd

Professor of Medicine

Arianne Teherani, PhD is Evaluation Lead of the LCOE Evaluation Core. She is Professor of Medicine and Education Scientist in the Center for Faculty Educators. She is Director for Program Evaluation and Education Continuous Quality Improvement for the School of Medicine and is Founding Co-Director of the Center for Climate, Health, and Equity. She is a leading international researcher in the areas of educational equity and justice, professionalism, and education for climate change, justice, and health. Dr. Teherani leads the Equity and Justice in Education works in progress series. 

Sarah Alba-Nguyen, MD, MPH

Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine

Sarah Alba-Nguyen, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, where she also serves as Associate Residency Program Director and departmental Director for GME Diversity. She is a member of the LCOE Administrative Core Faculty and is the co-director of two LCOE programs, the Academic and Leadership Academy (ALAS) and the Resident Mentoring Program (SALUD). Dr. Alba-Nguyen is a clinical faculty member in the UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine, where she attends on the direct patient care, teaching, and consulting medicine services.

 

Meshell Johnson, MD

Meshell Johnson, MD is a Professor of Medicine in the UCSF School of Medicine. She is a member of the LCOE Administrative Core Faculty, a mentor with the resident mentoring program, SALUD, and a co-lead with the faculty program, FUEGO. 

Michelle Guy, MD

Professor, Department of Medicine
Director of Diversity, Graduate Medical Education

Michelle Guy, MD is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She is Director of Diversity of Graduate Medical Education and a Dean's Diversity Leader. Dr. Guy is a member of the LCOE Administrative Core Faculty and is the co-director of the resident mentoring program, SALUD.

Denise Connor, MD

Professor of Clinical Medicine, Department of Medicine

Denise M. Connor, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the Gold-Headed Cane Endowed Teaching Chair in Internal Medicine at UCSF with her clinical home in the Hospital Medicine Division at the SFVA. She directs the School of Medicine’s Diagnostic Reasoning course, emphasizing the roles of patients and colleagues in the reasoning process. Dr. Connor is devoted to promoting equity and inclusion in medical education and is the Director of UCSF’s Anti-Oppression/Social Justice curriculum.
